Data security for financial advisor video

Your footage. Your likeness. Your control.

Advisors trust Cue with their face, their voice and their firm's name. Here's how we protect what they record, how long we keep it, and what we put in writing for your compliance and IT teams.

How we protect your data

Protected by default. Deleted on schedule.

01

Encrypted

Recordings, scripts and firm settings are encrypted in transit and at rest.

02

Never used for training

Your scripts, recordings and videos are never used to train general AI models, ours or anyone else's. We choose AI providers whose terms or settings don't allow them to train on your content.

03

Deleted after 60 days

Recordings and videos are deleted automatically 60 days after they're created. The app shows each video's deletion date so you can download it first and keep your archive in your own systems.

04

Avatars need consent

An advisor's AI Twin is built only from their own recordings, only after they record a consent video, and it's deleted when they or their firm ask.

05

Access controlled

Least-privilege access and logged administrative access on our side, so only the people who need your content can reach it.

06

72-hour incident notice

If we confirm unauthorized access to your content, your firm hears from us within 72 hours, with help meeting your Regulation S-P obligations.

For compliance teams

Cue supports your review. It doesn't replace it.

Cue doesn't certify that content is compliant, and it doesn't publish on anyone's behalf. Advisors download the approved package and publish through your firm's process, so your existing supervision and recordkeeping stay in charge.

More answers →

Is my video footage used to train AI?

No. Your scripts, recordings and videos are never used to train general AI models, ours or anyone else's, and we choose AI providers whose terms or settings don't allow them to train on your content. The only model built from your recordings is your own AI Twin, if you choose to create one.

How long does Cue keep my recordings?

Recordings and videos are deleted automatically 60 days after they're created, unless your firm's contract sets a different period. The app shows each video's deletion date so you can download it first. Cue isn't an archive, so keep approved videos in your firm's own records system.

Can someone create an AI avatar of me without permission?

No. Your AI Twin is only created after you record a short consent video confirming it's you and that you approve its use. You or your firm can ask us to delete it at any time.

Is Cue Studio SOC 2 certified?

Not yet. We're scoping it and won't promise a date. In the meantime, we share our security documentation and answer security questionnaires as part of your vendor review.

Can our firm review Cue's security before signing?

Yes. Book a call and we'll share our security documentation and answer your security questionnaire.

Which rules apply to financial advisor videos?

The same rules that apply to written marketing. Broker-dealer representatives follow FINRA Rule 2210 for communications with the public, and registered investment advisers follow the SEC Marketing Rule. Your firm's policies set the exact review and recordkeeping steps.

Does Cue Studio make my videos compliant?

No tool can do that on its own. Cue supports your firm's review process by locking the script, applying the approved disclosure, recording the advisor's attestation and giving reviewers the exact final files. Your firm's review decides what's approved.

Can compliance approve scripts before advisors record?

Yes, through the firm library. The home office publishes approved scripts there, and advisors pick from them. For scripts advisors write themselves, the locked version travels with the video for review.

Do AI avatar videos go through the same review?

Yes. AI Twin videos use the same locked script, disclosure and attestation steps as recorded ones.

Where do approved videos get published?

Advisors download the approved package and publish through your firm's process. Cue doesn't post on anyone's behalf.
