The short version
- AI drafts, and people decide. You edit and lock every script before you record, and your firm approves what goes out.
- We don't use your content to train general-purpose AI models.
- Your AI Twin is built only from your own recordings, and only after you consent.
Where Cue uses AI
Which features use AI?
Script drafting from a trending article or a topic you enter, transcription and captions, filler-word removal, eye correction, and AI Twin videos. The camera check that coaches your framing and lighting before you record runs in your browser.
Which AI providers do you use?
Script drafts are written with Amazon Bedrock, running in our Amazon Web Services account. Transcription is handled by Deepgram. Eye correction uses NVIDIA Maxine software, run on Modal. AI Twins are built and rendered by HeyGen. Every service provider that processes customer data is listed on our Subprocessors page.
Your content
Is my content used to train AI models?
No. We don't use your scripts, recordings, transcripts, uploads or videos to train or fine-tune any general-purpose or multi-customer AI model, ours or anyone else's, and we choose AI providers whose terms or settings don't allow them to train on it either. The only model ever built from your content is your own AI Twin, if you choose to create one, and it's used only for you.
Who owns what the AI produces?
You do. Scripts, captions, transcripts and videos Cue produces from your content belong to you or your firm.
Can Cue staff see my content?
Only when that's needed to answer a support request you make, or to investigate suspected misuse or a security incident.
Accuracy and review
Is what the AI writes compliance-approved?
No. AI drafts are starting points, not investment, legal or compliance advice and not approved language. You edit the draft, lock the version you'll record, and your firm reviews the finished video. Cue supports that review. It doesn't replace it, and it doesn't certify that anything is compliant.
Can AI output be wrong?
Yes. Drafts, transcripts and captions can contain errors, and a draft may resemble one written for someone else. Check names, numbers and claims before you lock a script or approve a video.
Do the rules change when AI helps write the content?
No. FINRA has said its rules apply when firms use generative AI just as they apply to any other technology or tool (Regulatory Notice 24-09). AI-assisted videos should go through the same review as anything else you publish.
AI Twin
How does AI Twin consent work?
An AI Twin is built only from the advisor's own recordings, after the advisor records a short consent video in the app. If the advisor uses Cue through a firm, the firm must also get the advisor's written consent and release before AI Twin is turned on. No one can create an AI Twin of anyone else.
Can I delete my AI Twin?
Yes. We turn off the AI Twin and delete the likeness data behind it within a reasonable time after the advisor or their firm asks, or after the account ends. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle likeness data.
Do I need to tell viewers a video uses AI or an AI Twin?
That's your firm's decision, under its policies and applicable law. You can include that language in the disclosure Cue adds to the end of the video or to the social post. If your firm asks, we'll give it a factual description of Cue's AI features to support its own disclosures and due diligence.
