The camera check is the step before recording in Cue Studio. It coaches you on framing, lighting and audio, and the record button stays locked until the checks pass. Problems like a dark room, a cut-off frame or a noisy microphone get fixed before the take, not discovered after it.
Most recording problems only show up when you watch the take back. The camera check moves that moment to the start, so the take you record is one you can use.
Once the checks pass, the record button unlocks and the teleprompter scrolls your locked script at your pace.
